CoQ10 Plus softgels contain CQ10 as ubiquinol, the more readily absorbed and more biologically active form that serves as an antioxidant.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a nutrient that performs important functions throughout the body. It is particularly critical for the health of hard working organs like the heart, liver, pancreas and kidneys.

The most important roles CoQ10 plays are in energy generation and antioxidant function.*

Who can benefit from CoQ10 Plus?

  • Aging populations*
  • Those taking statin drugs*
  • Those with compromised heart and/or liver health*

The body uses two forms of CoQ10. Ubiquinone, also known as the oxidized form, is better known and is used primarily for energy production in the electron transport energy cycle inside the cell.

Ubiquinol plays a primary role in decreasing oxidative damage caused by lipid peroxidation within mitochondria. According to research, plasma ubiquinol is decreased in patients with hyperlipidemia.

CoQ10 Plus features a unique combination of ubiquinol and geranylgeraniol (GG), two physiologically essential molecules with complementary and synergistic actions.

This composition enables better absorption - approximately 100% higher than the individual compound and 18% to 19% higher than other leading brands of solubilized ubiquinol.

Why Supplement with CoQ10 and GG?

CoQ10 occurs naturally in certain foods (especially animal foods such as red meat, poultry, and seafood), but the vast majority is produced inside the body.

GG is also produced endogenously, which means inside the body. This internal synthesis may not always be sufficient, particularly in individuals taking pharmaceutical drugs that affect the pathway by which CoQ10 is produced.

Synthesis of CoQ10 and GG declines naturally during aging and the use of certain pharmaceutical drugs (particularly for treating high cholesterol and osteoporosis) inhibit its synthesis, potentially resulting in a need for supplementation.

Recommended Use: Take one softgel per day with a meal, or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

Note: This formula is best absorbed with a meal.
